BACKGROUND

Women are at a disadvantage in a society dominated by gender inequality.
A woman's survival is even more difficult in a homeless community. In particular, the vulnerability of females to males makes their safety and security even more precarious.

APPROACH

In general, females are physically weaker than males. In addition, women who are homeless due to domestic violence are not in the minority. On the streets, there are men with violent tendencies and even criminal backgrounds. Women cannot always tell if these men are there to help them or take advantage of them. This makes it harder for homeless women to live on the streets. For this project, I designed a responsive web journal and mobile app for homeless women in San Francisco. It was launched in 2022.
